Room Sheet reads a short list of small-room venues in Bengaluru directly from their own public calendar pages and puts what is on tonight on one map: theatre, music, talks and literary events, not exclusively any one of them. National ticketing aggregators are built for arenas and multiplexes; a 200-seat theatre, a listening room, or a JP Nagar bookstore’s back room often never makes it onto them. Room Sheet exists for the person opening a map on a Friday night looking for a room, not a brand.
Scraping venue calendars instead of an aggregator, and putting pins on a map, are both the obvious moves for this kind of data, not an insight. What none of these venues publish themselves is how far ahead they tend to announce a show. See /notice for the one thing here that only exists because something is reading these listings systematically, over time.
